Am I in a cult?

I was a bit curious about what The Illumanti really was, after having been told for all of my life that were the spawn of Satan, setting out with one goal: Making everyone worship the devil.

This is the actual definition.

The Illuminati (plural of Latin illuminatus, “enlightened”).The society’s goals were to oppose superstition, obscurantism, religious influence over public life and abuses of state power. “The order of the day,” they wrote in their general statutes, “is to put an end to the machinations of the purveyors of injustice, to control them without dominating them.”

That sounds pretty great to me. In fact, it sounds a lot better than some of the governments we have in place now.

So why were they rejected by society? Because they fought for freedom?

Why were they cast in such an evil light? Because they didn’t think religion had a place in ruler ship? (Pretty sure we could avoided some major wars there)

So I am now a bit worried. Have I been part of the Illuminati all this time?

I thought I was being dense but I’m glad I am not the only one that questions this intense fear/caution/whatever it is surrounding these principles. I won’t judge others for their beliefs but personally, I think it’s important to be critical of the things around and not follow blindly.

  2. Any form of extremism is frowned upon. Simple.
Look at hitler. His idea was noble. He want to have one community. One religion, one race, and one rule, all over the world so that we never have religious or international conflict ever again.
How did he do it, by killing all non-aryans and then is when he got it all wrong.
Extremism is never supported, irrelevant to its nobility. 😄😄

They do not serve God and oppress billions to their own advantage. Of course, they say and believe the opposite. They are not enlightened at all.
