half-term is tomorrow, after another one of the school’s “traditions”, yet again meant to make it look smart and individual, pretending that it’s pupils are also bright and disciplined. Speech day is when we, the pupils, march through the avenue of our school and turn our eyes to our VERY special guest, the Lord Mayor. It’s an unnecessary procession that delays our holiday by 4 hours, just for a few seconds of synchronised walking. How lucky I am to be able to partake in such a wonderful tradition.
